Kiss is a 6-Year Old
16H chestnut TB gelding who started showing in the A/A's this summer. He is very
soft off the ground and he would be best matched with a quiet rider with
good body control who just lets him do his job in the air over fences With
four tall stockings, a broad blaze and flaxen mane and tail, Kiss is a
horse who gets noticed. The pictures of Kiss posted above were taken at Sussex
County right before he was moved up to 3'. The rider is 5'-6" with long legs.
What Show
Experience Does He Have?
Kiss's first
outdoor show was Sussex County, where after warming up only in
the schooling area, he went into the show ring, jumped right around with
an adult rider and placed 3rd out of field of 20+ horses in the
Schooling Hunters, a 2'-6" class. After Sussex, Kiss was moved up
to 3' and the A/A's where he has accumulated a number of wins over
fences and in the hack at such venues at Old Salem, Gardnertown, Coker
Farm, etc.
How
High Will He be able to Jump?
Kiss
competes and is schooled regularly over 3'. He is schooled at 3'-3" approximately
once or twice a month. He has schooled individual fences as high
as 3'-9". Kiss has a nice long balanced stride at the canter and
he gets down the lines quite easily. He is brave and willing to
the jumps and he has jumped everything; gates, walls, roll tops,
etc. we have put in front of him.
What Else Can you Tell Me About Him?
Kiss is an athletic horse, but he is not yet a "made"
show horse. At this stage in his career, he would be
best suited for a professional or an advanced rider
who works regularly with a professional. Kiss is
easy to keep fit and his gaits are very comfortable.
He is a
balanced horse, that comes from behind. Kiss is a cute
mover, who reaches forward from the shoulder. His
lead changes have been automatic since he was three
years old.
