Maybelline is a 2003 16.1H grey Hanoverian-Holsteiner cross mare. She is by Cabalito out of Hallmark by Merano. Maybelline was weaned from her second foal in September of 2007. She started lunging and long lining in October and was backed in November. She started walking and trotting under saddle in December. Maybelline enjoyed some vacation time in January and February. In March, Maybelline received front shoes, began to canter under saddle, was introduced to riding out on the trails, and she learned to load and ship. In April, Maybelline received hind shoes and was introduced to trotting small crossrails. In May of 2008, Maybelline began to practice simple changes and started trotting very small verticals and gates. In July of 2008, Maybelline competed in her first horse show and received a second in the hack.
