Congratulations to Lynn!!

Devon: 5-year 16.1H Dark Bay TB Gelding
Devon is a 16.1H TB gelding.  He is one of the sweetest horses you'll ever meet.  Devon is completely honest, has perfect ground manners and he will try his heart out for you.  He has a very sweet personality and he is very friendly, curious and loving.  Devon adores attention but he is never pushy or bossy.  Under saddle Devon is simple, uncomplicated and forgiving.   He doesn't mind if you hold his mouth for balance or sit on his back.  Whether it is on the ground or under tack, Devon is extremely tolerant and patient. He doesn't have any vices on the ground, under tack or in the stall.  He is respectful of his handler's personal space and he never crowds.  He stands quietly on the cross ties while being bathed groomed or tacked up.  He is very cooperative when he is having his face trimmed or washed with a hose and sprayer.  He clips, bathes, loads and ships just fine.  Devon is very well behaved with the farrier and the vet.

How High Will He be able to Jump?

We are schooling Devon regularly over 2-3" to 2-6". He has a good size stride at the canter and he gets down the lines quite easily.  Devon is brave and willing to the jumps and he has jumped everything, gates, walls, roll tops, etc. we have put in front of him up to 2-6" under tack.  We have free jumped him over 2-9"-3'.

What Else Can you Tell Me About Him?

Devon has been to four C shows.   An experienced rider can get his changes.  He does know basic lateral aids and he is responsive to body position when asked to lengthen or shorten.  Devon has been out on the trails both with other horses and alone.  We have owned Devon since he was two.  He turned five in January.  Devon has not been on the track.  Devon does not require any maintenance medications.  Devon is an honest 16.1H which means, he is 5'-5" at the withers.  He has a broad chest and generous barrel and he takes up a leg nicely.  Devon receives individual turnout, but he could be turned out in a group, provided the other horses are also mild mannered and not aggressive.
